My Goals as a Bookkeeper
Why did I choose bookkeeping? Well, bookkeeping chose me. It combines many things I enjoy and things I am good at doing.
I want people to focus on the things they love and enjoy. I want them to have time to spend with their families and to be creative. I’d love to know that they read a book occasionally, take a much-needed vacation, or, for goodness sake, take a nap if that’s what they need.
I chose to be a bookkeeper because I love organizing and figuring out how to do things efficiently. It also requires a certain amount of creativity and ingenuity to put the financial puzzle pieces together in a way that tells a story about the business.
But beyond that, there’s so much satisfaction from knowing that my work enriches someone else’s life so they can do the things they love.
Even when I ran a copy center for ten years, we filled out our Profit & Loss statements, and oh boy, did I enjoy doing that. I loved the statistics, seeing how we could improve, and then making those improvements. My copy center was so efficient and kept such accurate records that my district manager thought I was cheating the system. So, I had to be a little ‘messier’ in my meticulous record keeping. I guess no one else in my district liked keeping records or managing reports as much as I did.
Give me the mundane bookkeeping tasks that take too much of your time and energy or cause you frustration. My goal is to give small business owners the power to focus on the things they love in their business. If business owners can focus on the things they love, they can grow and flourish. All while knowing that their less-enjoyed tasks, such as tracking transactions, processing payroll, managing taxes, and running reports, are being well managed.
Save Time. Reduce Stress.
Increase Profit Margins.
I’ll focus on the Individual Transactions.
You Focus on Growing Your Business.
About Me
Hi! I’m Tricia, owner and founder of Line Upon Line Bookkeeping.
I don’t love being in front of the camera—I never have. I prefer being behind the scenes, making sure everything flows well and runs smoothly—kind of like bookkeeping.
Years ago, I rekindled my love for creativity and art. I tried to do art full-time for a while and discovered that I preferred that creative part of me to be my go-to hobby outside of work.
Through this journey, I found that so many people didn’t have the support they needed to pursue their passions, whatever those might be.
I knew I could help others pursue their passions by providing bookkeeping services. Allowing them to focus on the things that bring them joy or at least do those things that build their businesses and support their families.
I’d love to discuss your business and goals with you to see if we are a good fit for working together.
Relationships, just like bookkeeping tasks, are built Line Upon Line.
